Project Summary
"Building awareness & relationships among The Economic Development community"
Better Together partners Michelle Schurter, Tonya Millsap and Nadine Ladouceur spent two days in Toronto at EDCO 2025 having conversations and building awareness for the important role early learning and childcare plays in economic development today. The conference fostered many new valuable connections and conversations, with Economic Development Officers and Municipal Councillors who exchanged stories of how child care successes and gaps are affecting their own local economies. Information shared includes workforce data, multiplier effect of child care on other workforce sectors & business attraction. Ongoing collaboration with the BT team continues to strengthen the link between child care, workforce, and community prosperity.
